HESSLE ROAD PRAM RACE , 2009
The Hessle Road Carnival and Pram Race Trust are pleased to announce that a total of almost £25,000 was raised from the Pram Race on the 5th September 2009.
£10,000 is being used to match fund a contribution from the Wooden Spoon Charity which supports Community Sports Projects. This will enable a £20,000 project to be developed for the Hessle Road area
The remaining £15,000 is available as small grants for groups and organisations to apply for.
Applicants are invited from the Hessle Road area and will be considered if they can demonstrate that their project will achieve some of the following benefits

• Help in the provision of high quality activities/training  for young and older people
• Assist young people to achieve/volunteer
• Will be ongoing and sustainable
• Would help support existing organisations to become more sustainable
• May lever more match funding
• Would identify positive benefits, e.g-Increase in activity, beneficiaries, promote community projects

The Hessle Road Pram Race Trust would like to thank all our sponsors, especially the donations received from local business entrepreneurs who have fond memories of Hessle Road. A special thank you to Boyes for their wonderful window display which rekindled many memories for local people.

The Race and Carnival this year is on the 18th September, details will be advertised in the Spring.
